            particulate     towards     the good & understood
To be
            born     premeditated     yet a monday surprise
To be
            evergreening     during     the off season
To be
            borderline     & play     both sides
To be
            pescatarian     with temperance     at stake
To be
            free of     perfection     & bug bites
To be
            both     mercurial     & impenetrable
To be
            the container     & what’s kept     inside
To be
            mistaken     for yesterday’s     forecast
To be
            embraced     by the sight     of white butterflies
To be
            the westernmost     child of a     sun-filled matriarch
To be
            the first     sputnik     in american-born eyes
To be
            the on-call     fixer     & the one     needing fixing
